Arctic Quest is a simple puzzle-solving game, where you finish each board by collecting falling crystals from the sky and placing it on the board. Once you finish a board, you move on to the next level. The boards take the shape of different animals, or according to the developers “…other tropical wonders.”

As the story goes: your world is in peril and everything around you has frozen over, except your tiny tropical island. The really weird voiceover lets you know that the Snow King is behind this, and hence throwing you head first into the role of the “One and Only Saviour.” So your job is to solve puzzles and reach the Snow King’s lair while battling his penguin minions, to give your own personal whooping and save the day! Someone once said that a story in a game is like having a story in a porn flick and I strongly disagreed then, but when someone comes up with a game like this and I start thinking “… maybe he was right after all.”

The graphics in the game are very well done and the puzzles are nice time killers. All you need is your mouse to collect pieces that are floating down from the sky; right clicking rotates these pieces and then you can drag them into place. Once these pieces are set, they cannot be moved or changed again. Unused pieces are left floating in the water and you have to complete the puzzle before the pieces get filled up to that point. Using the small fire burning on your island destroys the ice crystals. You can collect extra points and bonuses by freeing animals that are trapped inside each of these ice crystals as well.

Overall, its a small nice game for those who are interested in puzzles. By all means, go try it out.
