Oh hey, speaking of mixing booze and silly rhythm games! Last Saturday, Reggie and I were invited to a gamer party hosted by Maxim-now-turned-Microsoft employee, Nikhill Koshi, along with the usual suspects such as fellow employee/friend Sanjoy John and the girls from Genesis (the PR group, not the 16-bit console that had that one kick-ass Aladdin game). Sorry Mohit Anand fans, no loving here for you. Besides that, I suppose there were other people present. I wouldn’t know if mentioning any names would spark your general interest meter, since the games they mostly played were borderline “eh” at most. First you got the men fondling with their balls in FIFA and NBA 2K-whatever for what seemed like forever. Then you got the women laughing it up in Project Gotham Racing and Dead or Alive 4, since they were the easiest games to get into (somebody should introduce these ladies to the Wii!).
Leave it to the Ninja Commandos to get the hard-blood pumping. While Reggie was busy fingering in those color-keys in Guitar Hero 3, I introduced some nice warm, humble pie to the willingly in Halo 3. With a side-order of bullet fuck. Speaking of playing video games that sparked countless sequels, we eyed a copy of Devil May Cry 4 as well (imported all the way from Singapore, if I’m not mistaken). And believe me when I say a “copy of Devil May Cry 4″, because we sure as hell didn’t get to play it. Blame the fact that the X360 requires the latest updates in order to even get to the main menu screen. Then there was the total lack of any LAN gaming going, something you’d think anyone from Microsoft would have at least considered doing by now. Oh well, that’s what copious amounts of apology pizza is for. Delicious.
Reggie can also apparently separate his spirit from his body, and drift to the out-most, funkadelic-smitten regions of the cosmos. No wonder he didn’t look nearly as numb as I did.
