SCEE’s having Gameshastra develop some games based on traditional Indian sports like Kho Kho, Kabaddi and Gulli Danda. I am somewhat ever-so-slightly amused at the very notion of seeing my children play these games on their Playstations. That is, if I had children.
But wait, there’s more! Sony plans to make India their own gaming development hub for big-budgety titles. Not that this kind of outsourcing isn’t something we aren’t already accustomed to, obviously. But if it means people will get the opportunity to play-test stuff life LittleBigPlanet, I’m all over it like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Delicious!
Milestone Interactive CEO Jayant Sharma was recently interviewed by DNA Money. Sam plans to speak with him as well, and is currently accepting any questions you might want to pose (sorry, no MGS4 jokes). You can place them in the prior topic linked.

Stabbed with a screwdriver in their eyes a few times, too - but applauded nonetheless. Once you’re done having headaches from that, take a gander at the official website and play around with the Flash game. Don’t worry about the Japanese characters, just input any working site’s URL (hint, hint) and enjoy. Right-click on your mouse to enable thermal-vision.
This week saw a lot of interesting announcements, and we’re not just talking about the newly-appointed Microsoft India E&D Country Manager (but I’ll point it out anyway). Nope, Sony’s also been making the rounds this week. Aside from some game development and industry chatter, we got PS3 titles going for cheap and silly viral marketing videos to gloat about. Read on, scallywags!
