Finding the diamond ring at the bottom of the champagne glass is so old school now, or atleast that’s what Bernie Peng, a computer programmer would like you to believe.
Associated Press reports that Bernie decided to pop the question to his girlfriend in a unique way by programming the popular PopCap’s game “Bejewelled” to have it pop up a wedding ring and a marriage proposal, once she reached a high score.
The marriage that took place this Saturday saw the couple’s wedding cake in form of a console and guests walked away with copies of the game as a gift.
Now who says video game nerds are not romantic enough. Now if only my girlfriend thought the same about me as well!

Wow… I find that fascinating that Bernie got proposed on “Bejeweled” Now the only draw back to that what if his girlfriend never reached the high score??? Rather than being married right now, Bernie would have still been on hold waiting for her to achieve her new hightest score. LOL And better than that… if there was a power surge and her game was destroyed, there would be an indefinite postponement. LOL Now since there has been a proposal that way… does that up the anti for the future gamers? So Abhinav how would you propose to your girlfriend??
Just Curious…

Never got a chance! She proposed to me much before I could get the courage to do the same. But if given a chance, I prolly would have had to take the help of GH3.
Or maybe I will work something out when I get to pop the question!
