Now this is something so out of the blue that we were left scratching our heads for a while. With the new Xbox Experience just around the corner, everyone is excited about checking out the new look and feel of the Xbox 360 dashboard, save for those without a HDD or a memory unit. As it turns out now, christmas seems to have come early with Microsoft playing Santa. In a surprising move, Microsoft has announced that they will be providing either a refurbished 20Gb HDD for USD 19.99 or a free a 512Mb memory card. Yup! You heard it right!! Free 512Mb memory card. What do you need to do to get one, you ask?
For starters, you should have either Xbox 360 Core or Arcade console. Premium owners don’t qualify for the offer as their consoles already come equipped with a HDD out-of-the-box. For those with Core or Arcade versions, head over to the Microsoft website, enter your serial number and console ID, type in your address and you are ready to roll.
The best thing about this offer is that unlike most others, this seems to be working for Indian Xbox 360 onwers as well. So all the Core and Arcade owners out here in India get to have their share from the goody bag as well. For those who have already bought an additional HDD, things are still pretty sketchy. Do they qualify for the free memory card? Some say yes, some say no. The best way to find out is to head over to the site itself and find out for yourself if lady luck is indeed smiling upon you.
