UPDATE: We spoke with the distributor, who said that there was a minor unforeseeable delay, and that the game has already been despatched to all metros and should be available on shelves by Saturday (6/12) morning at the latest. If you don’t live in a metro, expect to find the game at your favourite game outlet by Monday (8/12) or Tuesday (9/12).
When Calvin once asked why the world couldn’t even be unfair in his favour, he would’ve been really happy if he was one of those thousands of people who were left confused, heartbroken and angry after news emerged that GTA IV for the PC could get delayed in the country.
And, to add to one of those rare occasions where we are the bearer of good news, it looks like you really wouldn’t have to wait after all if you were planning to drive Mr. Bellic around town on your monster PC. So yes, the game is coming out on December 3rd, as originally planned and yes, it will be available at the previously mentioned low, low price of INR 499, so there’s really no excuse not to buy one copy for playing and one NRFB copy for a keepsake, like someone I know is planning to do.
And for all those people who were getting increasingly paranoid over the game’s SecuROM DRM software, (yours truly included) it looks like things aren’t as bad as they are with EA’s games. Hello i am a GTA freak.
and would love to have a GTA 4 copy on release date itself,
i have contacted leading retail stores about it but they all are saying i will take for abt 12 days for them to get one for me as there are very rare ppl with such high configured PC
this is really depressing for me,
So ppl plz let me know if there are any INDIAN websites thats booking pre-orders of GTA 4 PC

Hey,
Is this absolutely confirmed? Don’t intend to be doubtful but the thing is this -
I have a friend coming from US on 6th Dec and he can get the game for me. As we know, it’s 50$ there and if it’s going to be available in India for 500 Rs, well the choice is clear!
Can anybody tell me where can I get it in Pune? Any big stores known to be carrying it? e.g Croma?
All the help is very very appreciated!(Am dying to get my hands on this one.:))

Its 3rd today.
The game was meant to be released in India today.
I am from mumbai and the game still isnt available!!
So you probably can imagine the time it will take the game to reach Uttarakhand.

Planet M (Lucknow) – 1-2 weeks that is 10-20th December
Ebay.in – I saw a GTA IV Preorder (INR 499+INR100 Shipping) out on 10th December
So folks I think we have to put a curb to our “Desperation” or a few more days …

Hey ppl… I’m from Mumbai & I checked out Planet M (Andheri & CST) and Alfa (Vile Parle West) and they’re still saying that the game is gonna be available after a whole f@#king week cuz of some shipment delay! I just hope it is not true… and Mr. Krishnan is right about the game being available tomorrow (6/12/08) morning. If anyone in Mumbai manages to spot GTA IV (PC) on store shelves… please do let me know by replying here.

Thanx a lot dude… I called Alfa on Saturday afternoon and they didn’t have I… I wish I had gone in the evening… I would’ve been playing it now

Dude… I don’t know much about Pune… but i think you should go and check all the shopping malls in Pune and if you don’t find the game…. order it online from http://www.nextworld.in (It will ship to pune within 2-3 days for Rs. 550/- including shipping charges)
And do check the system requirements for the game before you order it online. Cuz if it doesn’t work on your system.. you wont be able to return the game

Hello there. I live in bangalore… Any idea where i can get it… called landmark, forum, glasgow in brigade etc… execpt national market… any idea where its available… plz tell me soon. i’m desperate.
@vallab NO the game doesnt run on single core computers… min is 1.8ghz dual core.
Graphic card is not enough atleast an 8600gt
RAM atleast 2 GB

you’ll probably manage to squeeze 20fps at absolute lowest settings
the game’s a major processor hog..
i have a 9800gtx, 3gb ram, but its coz of my 2.3ghz dual core that it doesn’t give me maximum performance

I was very disappointed with GTA IV, IMO people who want to play it should probably get it for a console, this is one of the rare times it is better on a console than the PC.
