Q: Why do you you guys call yourselves “theangrypixel.com”
A: You should’nt really be asking that. When a pixel gets angry, its usually followed by a wave of destruction that leaves everything in its path pummeled to dust. But since we don’t know where you live (or so you think), we can probably tell you. The angrypixel was created by 3 of the Ninja Turtles – Donatello: The genius, Michaelangelo: The wisecracking dude and Raphael : The ticking charge. Leonardo wasn’t really needed because the Ninja essence of these 3 dudes made up for that.
Q: Why do you focus more on the Indian gaming scene?
A: Because we’re from India! A lot of the game / 3D development and programming talent comes from India and its kinda lame that we don’t actually have a passable gaming scene here. We’re out to spread that awareness.
Q: So are you like stupid? There’s a world of gaming out there!?
A: We know that!!! Which is why www.theangrypixel.com isn’t www. theangrypixel.in ! WE want Indian gamers to be exposed to a global community. Some of the more well known game sites offer a lot of news and content – sadly (for us) most of that content is driven by localization. We’re just out to do something similar here too.
Q: Who pays you to do this crap?
A: No one. We all have real jobs, y’know! And all the stuff here is done in 1 of 3 ways or a combination of them:
1 – We do all the stuff and we pay from our own bank accounts (sob sob – there goes our lunch money)
2 – The community drives content
3 – None of us are married
Q: Did you steal this idea from anyone?
A: Yes. We all had the same dream. Jesus Christ, Buddha, Mohammed, Ram – all the gods came to us and pitched this idea. We promised to keep it a secret. But then the Devil made us a better deal and we’ve sold our souls now. Life is good – we all now have Xbox 360’s. Thank you Jeebus.
Q: What is your mission?
A: World domination.
Q: In terms of a message: what message are you trying to send out?
A: Nothing. Except that all your base are belong to us. We want people to play games, respect the development effort and therefore curb piracy, encourage people to try out online gaming on consoles, kill CS fans and make Bill Gates richer.
