In other news, a similar event was scheduled for Bangalore as well with Consoul playing host to Microsoft. Gamers from the city would have been invited over to Consoul, Bangalore’s premiere console-only gaming parlor, to try out the game all by themselves. However, it seems like as of now, the event has been put on the backburner. We will update you as soon as we have some news regarding this.

Edit: More news on the Bangalore event after the jump.

CAPCOM Clarifies MotoGP 08 PC Installation Issue

It seems like those of us who normally opt for a Custom Installation over a Typical one are prone to running into issues while doing so in Capcom’s latest installation of the long running superbike sim, MotoGP ‘08. Usually during installation on PC, you will have the option to go for a Typical Installation where the game will choose the directory ( “C:/Program Files/” in most cases ). In case you opt for a Custom Installation, you get the ability to choose which drive you prefer your game installation to reside in. However, with MotoGP ‘08 there seems to be some kind of an issue serious enough for Capcom to issue a press circular which you can read after the jump. In the meanwhile, stick to the default installation and wait for the promised patch.

Review: FIFA ‘09 (PSP)

Over the past decade, Electronic Art’s FIFA series has spanned across many an iteration, from yearly updates to entries based on the World Cups, the European Championships, the arcade-friendly Street, and even Manager simulators. With each successive update overtaking the next, a host of improvements are made to fill in the disparity felt from last year’s edition - hoping to flesh out what’s already become EA’s top-premier sports franchise in the world from growing too stale for the rapid believers and interesting enough for the newcomers who might be busy playing rival-franchise Pro Evolution Soccer. Get Spore & Sims 2 For Rs. 999 @ Landmark

Was browsing through the PC game section at Landmark, Forum Mall today when I stumbled upon this nice little offer from EA. If you are planning to pick up a copy of the latest Sims wannabe Spore, then you can pick it up at INR 999 and get a Sims 2 copy bundled along with it. A pretty neat offer if you ask us, considering the two games combined can give your hours upon hours of fun like trapping your sims inside a house with no windows and doors and watch them go insane.

Thanks to Kris Acharya’s Flickr photostream for the pictures.

Fallout 3 Coming to India…Almost

All Fallout fans in India rejoice. After Microsoft India washed it’s hands off the Xbox 360 version of the game and other major India distributors shying away from the PC and PS3 versions of the game, the future of the game indeed looked more bleak then a post-nuclear apocalyptic landscape. Thankfully, Steam has stepped right in to the save the day yet again!

fouc-2008-10-15-18-35-54-39.jpg

Though a bit late, we finally managed to get our hands on FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage (FlatOut UC) after it made the jump from being a game on the Xbox 360 almost an year back to being a PC port now. Does it manage to retain all the fun the series has been synonymous with while driving down to the PC platform? We gave it a test ride to find it for ourselves.
