Everybody loves the holidays. Nothing reminds you of the drudgery of work like goofing off on a holiday, gorging on snacks and going 10 rounds on Halo 3’s Isolation. Makes you appreciate those summer holidays you had as a kid, it does. And if you are one of those who want to buy an Xbox 360 but strangely couldn’t find a good enough reason (yeah, right) to do so, there’s no better time than now.
With Diwali just around the corner, Microsoft India has decided that the best way for us to celebrate the “festival of lights” would be to get three flashing red ones. I kid, I kid. No, the proper way to indulge ourselves in the world of the Xbox 360 would be with - not one, not two, but three - holiday offers that’s bound to shoot extreme happiness into the hearts of gamers who don’t yet have the 360. For people like me, though, it just sends a thousand hot knives stabbing into the chest, but that could also be thanks to my all-Pringles diet.
Hit the jump to sink your teeth into the juicy details.
Just like all the other happy, lucky people across the US, Europe and Japan, new customers that welcome an Xbox 360 into their homes will get free games at no extra cost. That’s right, FREE! Customers plonking down the dough for the Core version get free copies of Viva Piñata and Forza Motorsport 2, while those that charge the Pro (or is it Premium?) version get PGR3 and the wonderfully fun (Defn: Sarcasm) Yuvraj Singh International Cricket 2007. Yes, that’s in addition to Viva Piñata and Forza Motorsport 2, so if I’d waited almost a year to get my Xbox 360 Premium, I’d have gotten games for free that I paid full price for. *sadface*
And that’s not all. The Redmond giant’s local arm, in association with Panasonic (what happened to best buddy Samsung?) and local retailing bigwigs Ezone and Big Bazaar, are also rolling out the awkwardly worded “Super Stylish Super Saver Offer” - a super-duper mega-saver deal that sets you up with an Xbox 360 Core Holiday Bundle and a 32″ Panasonic LCD HDTV for 50,000 buckaroos. Which, we’re told, translates to a whopping 24,000 in savings. Savings that you can probably use to buy more Xbox 360 games. Or get thousands of juicy chocolate donuts.
The “Super Stylish Super Saver Offer” is already on, and we’re told that the Holiday Bundle offer kicks off on the 25th, both running “till stocks last”. And no, this is NOT the major announcement that we talked about. You’d still have to cool your heels some more for that one’s water to break.
