Assassin’s Creed

Despite being criticised all around for the repetitive game play and tones of bugs found in both the console version of the game, we found Assassin’s Creed to be an immensely enjoyable game. Instead of rushing through, we took our time through the game and that’s where the brilliance of the game stood out. Superbly detailed locales, animation to die for and the sheer adrenaline-rush of jumping across the rooftops while being pursued by guards meant we could push aside the hype and the subsequent criticism that followed, and enjoy the game for what it is. All we can do now is wait for the sequels and hope that the developers have learnt from the mistakes and the next outing of Altair will cement the game as a masterpiece.

No wonder then that our brother-in-arms on the good ol’ PC have been all excited about the imminent arrival of the nimble-footed Altair. Though there has been a bit of dissapointment, even incredulity at the supposedly godly system requirements that would put Crysis to shame, these seems to be some news to cheer for the PC owners.

The PC version of the game, Assassin’s Creed : Director’s Cut, is confirmed to have four new missions that are not featured in any of the console version of the game. Though details of what the bonus missions will be like are sketchy at most, one can venture forth and hazard a guess that they will inject more varitey in the otherwise rinse-repeat versions of in-game investigations . If only the system requirements prove to be not as hefty as it has been made out to be,  then this will be a sure winner, what with the bonus content and the significantly low-price point.

Assassin’s Creed : Director’s Cut is out in March on the PC.

I got bored of the game after 4 assassinations in the game…I just wish the devlopers could add new weapons and new armour something to do in the locales apart from killing the templars and whole ltta stuff to the game …I just cant believe a highly trained assassin can’t swim…This aint Liberty City from GTA III…the story and the presentation is the only place whre Assassin never falis to amaze…Interactivity just got a whole new name with this….

The motion capture was put together very naturally. It looks amazing.

I fully agree with the review, take your time and just explore. Admire the details of the game rather than just the gameplay.

    But, each to their own.
