So I downloaded this demo not because I had spare bandwidth, but mostly because of 2 reasons:
1 - A demo on XBL that weighs in at 500 Megs MUST be downloaded. (except Vampire Rain and Tenchu)
2 - Recommended by my good buddy, Krishnan.
So I downloaded the demo expecting to see what this game was all about. What I’ve seen, makes me believe!!
As the name suggests, TimeShift is a game where you play around with - you guessed it, time. You dont have to wait too long to figure out how, because the intro cinematic pretty much sets the mood and leaves you with a need that MUST be fed - the need to control time. To do this, you’re equipped with a special Alpha/Beta suit that allows you to twist time, any way you want.

Yeah, so the last article I posted didn’t actually say Part 2, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t!
In part 3 of our WCG 2007 (and definitely our final article on this event, we bring you an interview with one of the WCG participants - Ajay Chekalia. We also interviewed another gentleman who pretty much kicked ass at Counter Strike : Amitoj Duggal, however, due to extremely fucked up audio, there’s no way we can put it up here.
We spoke to Ajay about the event and what he thought about it. He shared some interesting insights with us and explained the advantages of using a wheel for racing games, the super-quantum flux theory and why Freud dreamt of trains going into tunnels.
An interesting (but we found amusing) point he made, was the fact that once you’ve played 1 racing sim, you’ve played them all. Ajay came 2nd on day 1, in PGR3, considering that the only other contender was his friend, but overall he ranked 4th in the Delhi leg of the tourney - but this was the 1st time EVER, he’d played the game. So all his practice hours were pretty much spent with NFS Carbon. Yeah - you got it. NFS Carbon is the shit!
Overall, this guy pretty much knew what he was talking about and we found it quite a delightful experience talking to him. Good luck in Mumbai, old chap. Have a jolly good time and bring us back some goodies. Perhaps we’ll invite you over to a cup of Earl Grey, lad!

Sorry for the delay folks - but finally my internet connection is back up and I can show you guys the video interview TAP did with Cyril Ferry - Head of Marketing; Indiagames.
We asked Cyril a bunch of questions ranging from the absence of CS : Source in the WCG to the current state of gaming in India. We also spoke about the lack of console based multi-player games and also about a certain game magazine that (no-surprise) wasn’t invited to cover the event!
So sit back and watch. Our apologies for the poor audio though. As you’ll see, we got an all access pass to everything backstage, and that’s where we ended up - backstage - so there was a lot of noise to be had. Therefore, video best watched with a pair of headphones on. To preserve quality, we haven’t uploaded it on Youtube or similar, but provide it as a direct download from this space exclusively.
And if you like the intro tune, remember to download Frets on Fire.

And adore you too! Scared? Snap out of it!. Now that I have started off gushing, let me go all the way and state in a civil and courteous way (only temporarily, I assure you), that we thank you for your kind support right from the second the ANGRY pixel went online with the blog. Thanks for what, you ask? Read on:
Because of your co-operation and the efforts of our awesome and (handsome, eligible bachelor) Lead Content Editor, Krishnan Rajagopal, our website is now listed as the ‘Cool Site of the Day’. Check out http://www.coolsitetoday.com/ and you will know what I mean.
But that’s scratching the surface. Or an itch. Whatever. Our site was featured today in Mumbai Mirror (a leading newspaper for young Bombayites, published along with the Goliath called the Times of India ) in the ‘Website Watch’ section of the publication. Talk about a double whammy, eh?
Now we’re about as vain as anybody else (which is, to say, a lot) so we’ll take risk of sounding a bit too immodest, and say that we are proud of our efforts and proud of the guts of our community that has followed us out of our old home on the internet intoto this new pad - where we can stay together until time itself ticks out. That, or Reggie and Kris stop paying the bills. But since that is not going to happen any time soon, relax, we are here to stay.
I expect a lot more hits on the blog and the forum from now because, I know what the ‘Website Watch’ section means to most of the key demographic. Forgive me for being so excited about this, but a full record of TAP’s formation and achievements is in order at this point. But that is a story for another time and will be probably told better by the people who worked much harder than yours truly in the formation of the website.
On a parting note, another round of applause and bouquets goes out to the staff and our dear community members. And also, a hearty and warm welcome to the new people who visit us because of all the articles and the newspaper mention. See, we could have called you n00bs, but we did not! If that does not speak volumes about our character, then what does? We’re very generous that way.

Bobby Sandhu is sure one fine dude. Not only did he provide the layout designs for both our forums and the yet-to-go-public website, he posts on the blog whenever he gets a chance. He even designed our awe-inspiring logo! Yeah, the logo that doesn’t ever seem to get featured here. It’s just that awesome. That, or one of us is hella-lazy.
Well, he’s got another site-related project he’s been working on that’s of the funny bone brand: a series of Gears of War spoof comics. Dubbed “The Chainsaw Chronicles” - he’s done one strip so far but has a parody cover with a back-side version on the way. Be alarmed, kiddies! There’s nothing stopping the human monstrosity collectively known as the Durkaman. Don’t stop the fight!

Gay-ers of War Cover (links to his DeviantArt page as well)
Well, its stale news, I guess - but it still deserves to be on the Angrypixel blog. Possibly most of you would know about plans to include Voice and video calls on the PSP over a Wi-Fi connection. But for those of you who didn’t know this, well…now you do.

I kid you not! The number 1 ranked TR:Legend player is none other than our very own Krishnan Rajagopal. With the distinction of not just finishing the game 100% (Yes - that means ALL time trials as well!!), Krishnan is now ranked NUMBER ONE on www.mygamercard.net.

Check it out here :
What does this mean to me? Well, for starters:
- I’m going to be number 2. I’ve already started playing the game like a maniac and I’ve never spent so much time looking for treasure
It makes sense to finish a game 100%. You paid for it remember?
Well done to Krishnan - another first by theANGRYpixel team!
