Although Halo 3 managed to reclaim it’s throne from Call of Duty 4 (COD4) on Xbox LIVE a few days back, it did prove the popularity of Infinity Ward’s  breathtaking offering. Infinity Ward managed to revive a dying a genre and my, what a revival it has been! So it comes as a no surprise that gamers have been salivating all over there controllers ever since the news of an expansion for COD4 surfaced. Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare SP Review

COD4 Heading

Before we start, lets get this one thing out of the way – Call of Duty 4 (COD4) is woefully short as far as the single player campaign is concerned. Agreed, there’s tons of fun to be had with the superbly well done multiplayer aspect of the game, but still, once you see the end credits roll, you have this feeling that the game could have gone for a little more.

Now that we have that out of the way, we come down to what we have on hand, which is nothing short of amazing. This is a game that will grab you by your throat and never let you go till the very end, such is the quality of it. Call of Duty 4 Beta: Patience, Iago!

Call of Duty 4 Beta

Amazing how much chaos and confusion can be caused by the slightest of events. We all know the Call of Duty 4 beta is coming, and Infinity Ward has been kind enough to tell us that when the time is ready, they will announce the beta and have a countdown timer to it running, yet, when the CoD4 beta download shows up momentarily on the Xbox Live Marketplace, complete pandemonium ensues. Obviously, no matter how much bandwidth they keep adding to the CharlieOscarDelta website, every time the smallest of news about the beta breaks, the site obligingly buckles under the load, finally crashing and burning in a really ugly fashion.

For all those going berserk over the 995 MB beta that lived for a short while on the Marketplace, just remember to keep your pants on, please. The beta’s release date has still not been announced officially and we will let you know the moment it is. Scout’s Honor! We’ll even answer your trivia questions for you, being the awesome guys that we are.
