Another year, another Games Convention coming up at Leipzig. For those that don’t already know, this year’s Leipzig is going to have some tasty treats for us all, including the first look, and quite possibly, a playable demo on Xbox Live and PSN for Devil May Cry 4. But that’s not all, quite a bit of big-shot titles will also have demos running at the LGC from the 22nd to the 26th of this month. A partial list of demos that you can expect to see come out of the LGC include:

With a thousand and one new fangled games exploding on to PCs and consoles before the end of the year, it looks like one group still hasn’t forgotten about the hardware of yore. MO5.COM, a non-profit whose sole mission on this planet is to “preserve computer and video game patrimony”, has announced that it will be showcasing all the old, aging boxes from the forgotten times right along side the menacing presence of its younger brethren at the Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany. Showing off more than 16 consoles and computers that have defined gaming from 1975 to the present, MO5.com haven’t exactly indicated what vintage pieces they will be showcasing, but we are guessing practically everything from the C64 and the Atari 2600 to the Dreamcast should be there. With one of the largest videogame collections in Europe, (retro, that is) MO5.COM maintains thousands of computers, videogame consoles, peripherals, books, magazines, cartridges, disks and yes, even tapes, from decades past. Hit the jump for the official press release, as I try to see where I threw my 8-bit console from 10 years ago! Must be funny, one guy trying out Pong and Space Invaders at one end while the other tries out Crysis and BioShock at the other.

For fans of the stylish hack-and-slash adventure Devil May Cry 4, there’s no better place to be right now than the Leipzig Games Convention in Germany. Why? Oh no reason, other than the fact that the LGC will see the global debut of the fourth installment in the DMC franchise for the Xbox 360, the PS3 and the PC. (Although you’re probably not going to see the PC version there)
Showing at Capcom’s dedicated DMC4 stand at the LGC (Stand C02, Hall 2), fans will be able to play the game as Nero, the new character with the Devil Bringer arm, as they attempt to master the new gameplay mechanics and combo systems that the latest game brings to the series. Oh well, since we won’t be able to go to the LGC even if our lives depended on it, I guess we’ll have to settle for second hand news and the demo to make it’s presence felt on the Xbox Live Marketplace and the PSN at the end of this month. Xbox 360 and PS3 owners, mark the dates, you are soon going to be able to “dance-kill” your way to glory soon enough. Devil May Cry 4 is set to release on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 later this winter, with no confirmed release date announced for the PC version so far. Hit the jump for the official press release.
