Okay, seriously. The one single word that came to mind when I saw this track listing was “w00t”! This has easily got to be one of the best track listings for a game and any game that features a song by Killswitch Engage absolutely must deserve props.

The EA website has confirmed today that some of the tracks included on the new Burnout game include “My Curse” by Killswitch Engage, GNR’s “Paradise City” (how convenient!), Seether’s “Fake It” and Jane’s Addition’s “Stop!” as some of the tracks that will be featured in the game.

FINALLY!!

It’s good to finally see that someone noticed that high octane racing goes best with Rock/Metal and not the other R&B / Club shit we’ve been subjected to for all these years!

Steve Schnur, Worldwide Executive of Music and Music Marketing at EA, said:

“Burnout is one of the world’s most popular racing franchises and demands a soundtrack that matches the game’s intensity at every level. We believe we’ve crafted a truly volatile mix of rock’s most dangerous tracks — beginning with the iconic ‘Paradise City’ — for an audio fuel as explosive as the game itself.”

Things look good. I’m not much of a fan of the whole racing genre, but this track listing is something I will definitely consider as a USP(besides many others) for picking up Burnout : Paradise.

That is just amazing! A lot of it is so tongue-in-cheek I can’t help laugh my ass off. I can’t imagine blasting through opposition while Route 66 and Girlfriend are playing full blast. “Get your kicks on Route 66″ - It would be so damn funny / awesome. Imagine:

FreeBurning online with a rival, jostling to crash and take down each other.

    “Hey! Hey! You! You!
    I don’t like your girlfriend!
    No way! No way!
I think you need a new one
    Hey! Hey! You! You!
    I could be your girlfriend!”

    *SIDE SLAM* T-BONE TAKEDOWN!

Oops, maybe not! I don’t think this relationship will work out so well. Let’s just be friends, OK? :D

As much as I hate that song, I’ve got to admit that it would be extremely funny, especially when you are already gloating about making the other guy’s ride fast-moving scrap metal. Something me and Singh enjoyed doing the other day while FreeBurning online. He takes me down a couple of times, I take him down a couple of times, we both set nice records before doing an impromptu Burning Route. I crash, he goes ahead of me, laughing all the time, and obligingly crashes and does a double flip 100 mts. ahead of me, which I repeat soon enough. EXTREME fun online, even though we’re both pissed off that we can’t Aftertouch.

Well, you gotta admit - there has to be something commercial about it!

But honestly - They’ve got KSE, Alice in Chains, Twisted Sister (takes me back to Will Rock) and Faith no More!!

I admit, Dragonforce, Trivium, hell, maybe even Slayer’s “Payback” would have been great! But they’ll only do so much!!

Imagine Payback playing the moment you take a revenge takedown!!

“You want me to take the fall, now you’re nothing! Payback’s a bitch motherfucker!!! ”

Oh - and thanks about the GH3 warning. You’ve always been the brother who’s never had the sense to shut up and just let me waste my money! :D

But I still feel that this tracklist has more credibility than the stupider-than-stupid NFS games!
